Dedicated to the memory of the men and women from Rich County, Utah, who served our nation and the world during World War 2; and also to My Aunt, Twila McKinnon Kearl who wrote articles linking "those back home" with "those serving in the U. S. Services" during that most deadly of all wars. Mostly entitled, News from Our Boys and Girls in the U. S. Service, they warmed the hearts and lifted the morale of all readers. --- By Robert Brent McKinnon.

Thinking of Aunt Twila
Recently, my sister, Monalee McKinnon, found herself thinking about our Aunt, Twila McKinnon Kearl. We chatted online about it for a time, and as I researched online for information about Twila, we came to realize just how important were Twila's efforts during World War II. We felt inclined to re-publish Aunt Twila's articles, to make them more accessible and understood by the descendants of those who Twila helped keep in touch. This Blog is a beginning, and perhaps something more will come of it.
